Happy Thanksgiving! Merry pre-Christmas too!!
Yup we're mixing holidays today. I had wondered if an American tradition (Thanksgiving) would be celebrated at-sea. The answer is yes. Last night the ship put up Christmas garland and a large tree in the atrium. It may be in the low-90s outside but the cool air conditioning and looking at the lite garland does put you in a bit of a festive spirit.
Strange thing happened last night. Around midnight we noticed the boat was stopped. An hour later, sure enough we were still stopped. Going out onto the outer deck there's this sizable boat tied up next to us. This morning the captain came onto the PA and shared with everyone that last night we had a medical emergency. There are no helicopters in the area for an airvac. As a result we made a 5-hour pitstop to connect with a port near Bandar Seri Begawan. Sure hope that person had a good travel insurance policy because that bill is going to be expensive!
Today was a fun on the pool deck. Water aerobics, bean bag tournament, & pool bbq. No burgers at this bbq, this time it was salmon, chicken, brisket, sauteed mushrooms; salad bar too. After bbq it was belly flop contest time. Good turnout, even got the ship officers to help score flops.

The boat is rolling again tonight on totally flat seas. Let's see if any of the bags come out in the morning.
